Q: What kind of fans can I control? Will this work with exhaust, ventilation, bathroom or outdoor fans?
A: Maestro fan controls works with indoor ceiling-mounted paddle fans with 1.0A motor current or less.

A: No, this is a 7-speed, quiet fan control.

A: All Maestro controls have power-failure memory. If there is a power outage, the controls will return

Q: Do I need to derate the product in multi-gang applications?
A: Maestro fan and fan/light controls do not require derating in multi-gang installations. You can still use the
full rated load even if you have to remove side sections during installation.

Q: The wall control says it is rated for 3.5 A. If I only have 100W of light connected to my fan/light canopy module,
can I add another fan since it will still be less than 3.5 A?
A: No, while the wall control is rated for 3.5 A, the canopy module is only rated for 1.0 A for fan and 300W for light.

Q: My fan does not have a down-rod or flush-mount bracket like the ones pictured. Will I be able to install the canopy module?
A: The canopy module is designed to fit in most fan brackets using methods similar to those pictured. Because of the variety
of styles used by different manufacturers, we cannot guarantee the module will fit in every fan.

Q: The instructions indicate the Maestro fan/light control will not work with fans that have a control system built into the motor.
How can I tell if my fan has a control system built into the motor?
A: If a fan/light fixture has only two wires coming from it (live and neutral), it probably has a built-in control system.
